Murakami knows #4

"Something inside me had dropped away, and nothing came in to fill the cavern."

"The others in the dorm thought I wanted to be a writer, because I was always alone with a book, but I had no such ambition. There was nothing I wanted to be. "

"Don't feel sorry for yourself. Only assholes do that."

i'm a big fan of his works and murakami as a writer. i think norwegian book is an awesome book, and those lines you picked are great. the one by nagasawa is my favorite. :)
frankly, i doubt the movie. the leading male cast is not that good. i expect someone like oguri shun to play as watanabe instead. i won't watch the movie, i'm afraid it would ruin my perceptions.

It was really a great movie. Even though it wasn't as great as the book, it's was beautiful and.. amazing.

I'm so excited about this, though I'm also a bit apprehensive given the often poor translation books make from page to screen. Fingers crossed, though, because Murakami is magic.

I watched this the other day (I found a sneaky link) and I loved it and I knew I would after you and Michelle had such positive reviews of it. It's such a beautiful interpretation of the book.

I'm definitely glad that I'd read the book beforehand though. It just adds more and I don't know, makes it more understandable.

The book is so much better than the movie...but then maybe I feel that way only because I read the book first :P I do love Kiko though, she is so pretty
